We are a Dutch expanding solar project company with currently more than 150 employees and a strong mission: to close a coal-fired power plant by 2030 and to greatly accelerate the transition to sustainability for its customers by generating and storing onsite and offsite solar energy. Ecorus is the market leader in Benelux and is already active in other European countries. In 2023, installations with around 300 megawatts of solar energy were implemented!
Ecorus DE GmbH has already implemented large-scale projects in the midscale segment on commercial properties and also builds solar parks on ground surfaces. This is an extraordinary opportunity to join this exciting journey at a special time and to play a key role in shaping its success in Germany.
Your tasks as a (senior) project manager at Ecorus?
As a (senior) project manager, you will play an important role in the realization and construction of large-scale solar projects, from the bidding phase to commissioning. These are energy installations on open spaces and company roofs (5 MWp to 100+ MWp/). You will take care of the entire process from conception to completion. In detail, you have overall responsibility for your projects and monitor the progress of the project throughout the entire term, of course in close consultation with the customer. You will manage our contractors, coordinate the work of the engineers and site managers and ensure smooth cooperation with internal teams from purchasing to the legal department.
- You will be responsible for the budgeting, scheduling and quality assurance of the projects in
- all financial, technical and logistical aspects
- Documentation and reporting to stakeholders and management on the
- technical, qualitative, purchasing, logistical and financial progress of the
- project
- You will be responsible for technical quality control in accordance with our internal and
- regulatory requirements
- You will monitor the purchasing and logistics processes within the project and will be supported by
- internal purchasing
What you bring to the table
You have at least 5 years of professional experience as a project manager of large-scale plants, so you have really built something up and understand how projects work at all levels, technically,
economically and contractually. In addition, you will bring:
- High level of professional competence in the planning and implementation of projects
- Technical training is an advantage - especially a master electrical engineer or state-certified electrical engineer
- Experience with contract management and related stakeholder management
- Experience in the solar/energy business is an advantage
- Unrestricted willingness to travel and flexibility (within Germany and the Netherlands)
- You love the allure of unexpected challenges and find pragmatic, sustainable solutions
- Building on your experience in project management, you have a healthy
- Willingness to take risks and to make decisions
- Very good professional German and good written and spoken English skills
