About the Role:

As the Head of the Mechanical Engineering department, you will be a key leader, overseeing a team of Engineering Managers across multiple specialties. Your role will involve providing both disciplinary and technical leadership, ensuring a robust and forward-thinking product development strategy. You will play an essential role in ensuring adherence to national and international regulations while achieving results that meet expectations in time, cost, and quality. You will also foster clear, transparent communication across CTO areas and cross-functional teams to support smooth, productive collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee end-to-end departmental deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
• Assign and prioritize product development activities for engineering teams.
• Lead, mentor, and coach direct reports on technical and disciplinary matters, managing resources, performance, and recognition.
• Identify hiring and training needs to ensure the team has relevant resources and competencies.
• Maintain and improve high standards in development quality by implementing best practices and adhering to the Design Organization (DO) processes.
• Facilitate strong communication and alignment with internal and external stakeholders across the CTO organization.
• Collaborate with other CTO departments and cross-functional teams to achieve optimal company outcomes.
• Establish conditions for the department to deliver results within expected time, cost, and quality standards.
• Manage and oversee the departmental budget effectively.
