Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
The Role
Elecnor presents an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to join our team as a Stringing Supervisor on a 14/7 roster. This role may be suitable for local candidates in Mildura or Wagga areas, as well as those interested in FIFO opportunities.
As a Stringing Supervisor, you'll collaborate with a diverse, multidisciplinary team to effectively deliver Project EnergyConnect.
On a daily basis, you'll actively monitor KPIs and stringing activities on designated work fronts, prioritizing safety through open communication, understanding, and active participation in safety and quality protocols to ensure timely and successful outcomes.
Primary Accountabilities
- Oversees the safe delivery of the stringing work
- Ensures that allocated resources remain productive
- Promotes proactive Safety and Environmental awareness for all personnel under your supervision
- Reports to the Stringing Superintendent all matters relating to the quality elements of construction works
- Directs subcontractors
- Actively participates in developing a construction HSSE culture that makes safety and environmental awareness a natural part of the job
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a Stringing Supervisor
- Tertiary and industry qualifications or significant experience in a supervisory role for construction and engineering projects
- Extensive experience in all aspects of stringing operations
- Thorough understanding of Australian OHS legislative requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- White Card (General Construction Induction Card)
- Driver's License
