Senior Production Operations Manager

Our client, a long established privately owned manufacturing business, are currently looking for a Senior Production/Operations Manager to join their Senior Leadership team based in Newcastle Area.

Reporting into the Directors of the business, this role will take responsibility for Operational/Production management within this multi-site manufacturing company.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an established Manager to lead a diverse team, implement culture changes and improvement projects. This would suit a highly motived individual with drive, passion and determination to succeed and strive for continuous improvement.

About the Role

As Senior Production/Operations Manager, main responsibilities will include:

• Oversee Production, Quality and Technical Departments within the business.
• Management of the production team instilling a motivated and progressive culture.
• Overseeing production planning and ensuring efficient manufacture of all products to the highest quality standards.
• Implement and lead onsite improvement projects.
• Instilling a ‘right first time’ culture.
• Manage labour on all sites, identifying and delivering on development and training opportunities.

About You

The successful Production Operations Manager will ideally have experience working in an SME manufacturing background with a proven record in operations and people management.

Other requirements include:

• Experienced and proven track record in Production/Operations Management.
• Extensive knowledge of Manufacturing/Production processes.
• Detail orientated with strong planning skills.
• Proactive, Energetic with a hands on approach.
• Able to effect positive change through implementing operational improvements.
• Commercially focused.
• Look to improve culture within the working environment.
