This is truly lovely role based in a well connected town in Oxfordshire with regular services to Oxford, Reading and London. This company is looking for a native English speaker with fluent FRENCH, who is eager to learn, want to experience working, and maybe also living somewhere high on the list of the Sunday Times’ Best Places to Live in The UK.
This position is perfect for someone that wants to mix a passion for translation with marketing. It involves a high volume of translation (French to English) across the business, including technical documents, catalogues, magazines, and more. Combined with marketing strategies to help the business achieve much more in the international market. Marketing and industry knowledge aren't essential, as full training will be provided.
- Job Title: Marketing Manager (English and French)
- Location: Oxfordshire (Well connected town in Oxfordshire with regular services from/to London, Oxford and Reading. Journey times from/to London Paddington from around 41 minutes only)
- Languages required: Native level of ENGLISH plus fluent FRENCH
- Work Style: on-site/hybrid - Ideally Monday to Friday on-site in their office in Oxfordshire (Hybrid option can be considered after training)
- Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Job Description: (Full marketing training according to the company's products and strategies will be provided)
- The role will commence with an induction and training programme. After this training period, based in the UK and France, your role will include:
- Translating and adapting sales documents from FRENCH into English (catalogues, flyers, etc.)
- Creating and managing sales support tools (PoS, in-store promotional activity, etc.)
- Organising UK events (exhibitions, trade shows, etc.)
- Operational links to: Marketing Director, UK Marketing Communications Managers, Product Managers, Graphic Designers, UK Sales Director, UK Sales Team
- Administration of the .uk and .com websites
- External communication (press advertising, internet and other media)
- Writing and coordinating direct marketing activity (email campaigns, newsletters, etc.)
- Managing the UK database
- Updating our client’s websites and catalogues (sales arguments, images, etc.)
- Managing a Marketing Assistant colleague and leading by example
Requirements:
- English is your mother tongue, and you have an excellent level of spoken and written French.
- Experience with professional translation is essential, ideally together with marketing exposure
- You are proactive, keeping a technical aptitude and a commercial mind.
- You have good organisational skills, able to define and manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- You have good analytical, composition and writing skills, with rigorous attention to detail.
