Assistant Accountant (Study Support)

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established company based in Newtownabbey seeking to recruit a Trainee Accountant on a full time, permanent basis. This is a great role for someone who either has completed a placement year or has some finance experience and looking to take a step up to professional qualifications. This role will give you a variety of responsibility to allow you to take your career in a massive step forward! The Role: Reporting to the Finance Director, daily responsibilities include: Financial reporting: Help prepare financial statements, profit and loss accounts, and VAT returns Reconciling accounts: Reconciling financial ledgers and verifying bank deposits and payments Processing payments and invoices: Processing payments and invoices accurately and on time Preparing budgets: Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets Verifying expenses: Verifying company expenses and reporting discrepancies to senior management Liaising with In house Departments What You Need to Succeed? Previous experience working in an accounting environment Strong communication skills Ability to work on own initiative What's in it for you?
