Located within commuting distance of Sheffield, this Plant Fitter role is highly dynamic and hands-on, focused on supporting day-to-day maintenance, servicing, and repair needs for construction equipment like Excavators, Dump Trucks, Diggers, and Dozers.
Plant Fitter Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative maintenance on a variety of construction equipment
* Quickly diagnose and resolve equipment faults to minimise downtime
* Provide effective on-site solutions, coordinating with the hire desk as needed
* Ensure parts are readily available by working closely with the parts department to keep your stock in order
* Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards in both the workshop and customer sites
* Represent the company with professionalism and expertise
Ideal Background:
Experience in roles such as Plant Fitter, Service Technician, Workshop Fitter, or similar positions is advantageous. Familiarity with PAT testing, electric/diesel engines, hydraulics, and pneumatics is beneficial. We are open to trainee engineers eager to develop in this field.
