Job Description
Position: production technician
Type: full time - rotating shift patterns
Shifts: 12 hour rotating shifts - 3on, 4off - 3on, 4off We are seeking a Production Technician to provide essential support to the team, ensuring that all planned and unplanned work is executed effectively and efficiently, adhering to Company and Customer standards at all times. This role is ideal for someone with a technical qualification and experience in an engineering environment, who is proactive and seeks continuous improvement in their work.
Day to Day of the role:
Perform tool changes and fault finding on all processes involved in the production of Flexible Tubes.
Service and prepare Tooling, Printing Plates, inks, etc., for tool changes.
Conduct quality checks to maintain high standards.
Undertake basic servicing, cleaning of machinery, and resolve technical issues.
Engage in fault finding on machinery to prevent and address issues.
Execute post-production tasks as required.
Maintain a safe, tidy, and clean work area during and at the end of each shift.
Complete necessary administration and reporting tasks.
Comply with the Company's quality standards and all current legislation and procedures, especially regarding Health and Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management.
Be adaptable to perform varied duties as the role evolves.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical qualification in a relevant field.
Demonstrable competence in an engineering environment.
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for actions.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Confidence in challenging existing practices and striving for continuous improvement.
Team player with a focus on achieving team objectives.
Responsive to changing work demands and able to take decisive action.
Conscientious, thorough, and professional in work responsibilities.

Plastic Processing Qualification, City and Guilds or equivalent.
Experience in production, setting various machines and tooling.
Experience in printing, particularly flexographic and/or silkscreen processes
