Job Description
A full-time opportunity exists for a Civil Engineer (BSc/HND) with 1-2 years post-graduation experience to join a tier one professional civil engineering contractor dedicated to developing your career.
Your setting out capability coupled with a willing attitude in delivering general civils like earthworks, drainage, concrete, piling etc for a UK civils contractor, would put you in pole position for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Manage materials, equipment, and labour within budget and resources, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Communicate systems, design information, procedures, and quality standards effectively.
Support project delivery teams by verifying work, providing technical assistance, and setting out.
Lead or assist in project assurance through audits and regular meetings with project teams.
Identify best practices, areas for improvement, and concerns related to safety, finance, or quality.
Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
Conduct short-term planning.
Requirements:
Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
Proficiency in surveying and setting out.
Proven track record of successfully managing your section of works, including subcontractors.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction.
Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
Desirable Traits:
Strong work ethic.
Clear and effective communication skills.
Team-oriented mindset.
Ability to take ownership and work independently.
Stable work history with a UK Contractor.
