About the Role
Base Location: Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £40,600 - £50,000 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As a Finance Systems Accountant, you'll play a key role within a specialist team, providing expert advice and guidance on group-wide system development projects that impact Finance, particularly the Financial Consolidation and Close (FCC) application. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll be involved from inception through to successful delivery. You'll lead FCC systems support across the project lifecycle, from analysis, design, and development through to testing, training, and implementation. Once implemented, you'll take on responsibility for the day to day management and support of the FCC model and play an active role in further developments as new requirements arise. - Leading the functional design and support of FCC systems, resolving system issues and maintaining consistency in controls and procedures.
- Driving and implementing changes to finance systems, planning for minimal business disruption and supporting smooth transitions for users.
- Working with stakeholders to understand finance requirements, deliver training, and create user-friendly guides and materials.
- Analysing and mapping complex processes, ensuring they align with finance control and governance standards.
- Playing a key role in project delivery, coordinating with finance, IT, and project management teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to be/have:
- Qualified accountant with significant experience with system support and maintenance of Oracle PBCS or FCC applications.
- Understanding of financial control and governance frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex technical issues for a broad audience.
- High-level of proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio.
