Job Description
As an Integration / Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and optimising control systems within our client's electrical systems, primarily focused on automotive applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement system controls that meet rigorous automotive standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Integration: Lead the integration of electrical and control systems, ensuring seamless communication between components using CANbus, Modbus, and other relevant protocols.
- Control System Design: Design, develop, and implement control strategies for automotive systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety.
- Programming & Testing: Write and modify control algorithms and software (e.g., C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink) to ensure effective system performance.
- Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identify and resolve system integration issues, optimizing performance for speed, safety, and energy efficiency.
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, software developers, and production teams to ensure smooth integration and operation of control systems.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all control systems meet automotive industry standards and regulations (ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, etc.).
- Communication Protocols: Develop and maintain communication protocols such as CANbus, Modbus, LIN, Ethernet, and other relevant technologies.
- Testing & Validation: Perform system validation and verification testing to ensure optimal system functionality, safety, and performance.
Key Requirements:
- Strong experience in automotive control systems engineering, including integration and design.
- Deep understanding of communication protocols like CANbus, Modbus, LIN, Ethernet, and related technologies.
- Proficiency in control systems programming (e.g., C/C++, MATLAB, Simulink).
- Knowledge of automotive industry standards such as ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience with vehicle diagnostics and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field preferred.
