We are seeking a talented and experienced Field Service Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment such as mobile cranes, crawler cranes, excavators, rollers, dumpers or piling, construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability in various construction and industrial settings.
Responsibilities:
* routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
* thorough examinations of components, to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
* with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimizing downtime and maximising uptime.
* technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
* accurate records of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
* experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
* knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems on heavy equipment.
* certifications or tickets related to site machinery maintenance (e.g., CPCS, NPORS, IPAF).
* diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
* communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
* driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
