Engineering Operations Manager - Motors / Generators
£60,000 - £65,000 + Car + Bupa + 33 Days + Gym + Benefits

Are you looking to head up a specialist team, with the autonomy to make a significant impact, the challenge of rejuvenating a department and the prestige that comes with a senior role?
Working for a market leading, global business, you will oversee the repair and reassembly of machinery in Industrial and Heavy Engineering environments. With a hands-on engineering background, you'll lead by example, identifying ways to improve output, whilst gaining the rest the respect of the shopfloor.
This company is a driving force in the Naval, Marine, and Defence sectors. Collaborating closely with leading OEMs and household names, they have an excellent reputation and having recently secured major lucrative contracts, they are now looking towards a bright and profitable future.
This would suit a strong minded people manager with a technical background, who has knowledge of rotating machinery and the ability to drive change.
DUTIES
* Manage a team of technicians, overseeing the repair, strip and rebuild of machinery
* Support the Business Unit Manager with P&L, forecasting etc - training can be given
* Identify improvement opportunities, working closely with customer base to decrease warranty claims, improve repair and service levels, drive the business forward
PERSON
* Engineering background, or someone who has worked their way up from shopfloor
* Has an appreciation for rotating machinery i.e. Motors, Generators, Turbines etc
* Strong people manager
* Open to learning about the commercial / P&L side of Operations
