Job Opportunity: Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll join a talented team dedicated to creating innovative, bespoke equipment. Your main focus will be designing custom products using Solidworks for both design and simulation, and ensuring accurate documentation, including manuals and parts lists. With a mix of standard products and highly customized solutions, this role provides a unique opportunity to manage projects with a wide range of complexity.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* HNC or Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivilent
* Proven engineering experience minimum of 3 years working within a mechanical design engineering role
* Strong proficiency in Solidworks
* Detail-oriented with a solid grasp of documentation practices
* Excellent time management and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and take initiative
* Effective communication skills
Mechanical Design Engineer Role Responsibilities:
* Working from our Rochdale headquarters with an 8-acre production facility
* Collaborating with a team of mechanical engineers on diverse, ongoing projects
* Using Solidworks, ePDM, and simulation tools daily
* Engaging with the shop floor to track project progress
* Conducting site visits for pre-installation assessments
* Developing and managing technical documentation
The Package
* Salary: £35-40k (dependent on experience)
* Holiday: 22 days + bank holidays
* Pension: 6% employer contribution
* Early finish Friday
