Isca Recruitment is delighted to working with a fast growing and well-regarded employer to find a proactive Payroll Officer. This is an exciting time to join a friendly forward-thinking organisation and a great opportunity for an individual experienced in end-to-end payroll to support and work closely with the Payroll Manager.
It is a rare opportunity for a commercially aware professional with a proactive approach to join an organisation that is leading the way in its sector and where you will genuinely make a difference.
Payroll Officer – The Role:
Working as part of a friendly, dedicated finance team at a time of growth. Duties will include:
* Preparing and running 2 monthly payrolls for c600 staff including processing SSP, SMP/SPP, attachment of earnings, pay increases, etc.
* Maintaining the pension scheme accurately.
* Ensuring compliance with HMRC and pensions policy requires and accurate statutory reporting.
* Managing employee absence data, supporting systems accuracy and improvements.
* Liaising with the HR team to ensure payroll is updated in accordance with contract amendments and starters/leavers, etc.
* Supporting the Manager with payroll year end, P60s etc.
* Identifying and resolving discrepancies and queries.
* Resolving payroll and pensions queries from staff.
* Assisting in preparing payroll reports to assist accurate annual budgeting.
Payroll Officer – The Rewards:
Salary: £ 28,000pa to £29,000pa
Benefits: 28 days including bank holidays, pension scheme, hybrid and flexible working, training, employee assistance and lots more!
Hours: Mon – Fri, 40 hours per week flexible start/finish times
Location: Tiverton office 3 days pw /home based 2 days pw

Payroll Officer – The Person:
We are keen to hear from payroll professionals with current experience of end-to-end payrolls.
You’ll be a first-rate communicator able to develop relationships with colleagues across the organisation as well as suppliers and senior management.
A natural problem-solver with excellent attention to detail, you will also possess experience of working with payroll software.
You will be a self-starter with a high energy approach and a desire to work in a fast-paced changing organisation.
