Job Description
Contracts Manager – Permanent Role with Leading Civils Contractor
Are you ready to take the next step in your career with a well-established civils contractor? We are looking for a Contracts Manager to join our growing team in the North East, working with a company that has been a trusted name in civil engineering for nearly 50 years.
About Us: With a turnover exceeding £33 million and a track record of consistent growth, we are poised for even more expansion, aiming to increase by 60% over the next three years. Our footprint includes two established offices in the North East and Yorkshire, and we’re responding to a surge in demand as we enter 2025.
Our Projects: We specialise in a diverse range of civil engineering projects, spanning:
* Highways and Infrastructure
* Urban Renewal and Public Spaces
* Water and Environmental Projects
* Historic Restorations
With project values ranging from £50,000 to £10 million, our work keeps us consistently engaged with 10 live projects on average. Our client base includes private developers, government bodies, and we hold a spot on respected frameworks like NEPO.
The Role: As a Contracts Manager, you'll bring a depth of experience ideally from a Tier One main contractor background, familiar with the high standards of quality and process involved from project design through to handover. You'll likely have an engineering or technical background (degree preferred, but not essential) and a proven track record in managing multi-site project delivery, often overseeing 3-4 projects simultaneously.
Requirements:
* A full driving licence
* SMSTS and First Aid certifications
* Strong communication skills and leadership in project management
What We Offer:
* Competitive Salary & Benefits Package – Rewarding your expertise and commitment
* Growth Opportunities – Join us at an exciting time as we expand our North East presence and build out new teams
* Career Development – A chance to advance within a supportive and forward-thinking company with strong development goals
If you’re ready to join a thriving contractor with a long-standing reputation and ambitious growth plans, we’d love to hear from you. For more information, please contact David Fletcher
