Job Description
Avanti Recruitment are currently working with a company based in London within the PropTech sector; The company provides risk and cashflow models for leading financial institutions in the UK, US and around the world. They are now on the lookout for a Graduate or Junior Java Developer.
The company works in a hybrid way and you will be required in the office 2 days per week (Tuesdays/Wednesdays).
You will find yourself joining a small company of under 15. This role will be working across the full software development lifecycle. You will be working primarily on the backend in Java, with SQL and API components, and maintenance during all points of the release process. The company also utilises React on the front-end, so you will gain exposure here too.
This role is open to both graduates and junior developers.
Must Have requirements:
* 2:1 or Above in Computer Science
* Strong coding experience in Java
* A*-A at A-Level
* SQL (PostgreSQL ideally)
Very Desirable:
* Ideally 1-3 years Commercial experience
* Experience of working with risk management models – in particular Stochastic modelling.
* Strong experience working within a Banking or Investment company
* Linux command line knowledge
* Interest in Finance / Commercial property
* JWT (API Security)
The salary for this position is up to £60,000 + discretionary Bonus up to 10% + 25 days holiday + Flexible working hours
