Job Description
Labour Hire are looking for an experienced M+E Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Shotton Paper Mill Project.
Responsibilities:
* Manage all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations to the final figures and seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality,
* When the project is in progress, he/she keeps track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability,
* Provide advice on contractual claims,
* Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks,
* Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes,
* Carry out full construction take off, prepare construction cost plan, track costs and labor efficiency throughout the project,
* Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account,
* Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certs/payless notices for sub-contractors each month,
* Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying,
* Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects,
* Experience in NEC Contracts, and industry standards,
* Commercial knowledge,
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills,
* Preferable to have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience.
