Accounts Assistant - Purchase ledger
Permanent and full-time (but may be able to reduce to 30 hours a week)

£24-25,000 starting salary
Are you detail-oriented with a passion for numbers? My client is looking for a dedicated Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and recording purchase invoices, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving any discrepancies that arise. You will also prepare and process payment runs, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end closing. Effective communication with suppliers and internal departments will be key to ensuring smooth operations. Pervious experience in the motor trade would be highly advantageous; the volume and detail of the documents you will be handling on a daily basis will be extensive; you will need to be able to work efficiently and at pace.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a purchase ledger. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential, as is proficiency in accounting software (specialist motor trade software A HUGE bonus) and Microsoft Office. You should be able to work independently and possess good communication skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
