THE TEAM
You will be part of a team of commercial disputes lawyers with extensive experience across a range of specialisms. In each of the markets in which they operate they are recognised by independent commentators as one of the leading disputes and investigation practices, with a strong reputation in all of their offices for their commercial and innovative approach to resolving business disputes.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in working closely with their UK and International Partners on client relationship development and the continued expansion of the team and practice, which will provide clear career progression opportunities at a pivotal stage in your career.
The Commercial Disputes Team in Manchester is the biggest commercial disputes practice in the region, "the strongest litigation team in Manchester by some margin" and winner of Litigation Team of the Year at the Manchester Legal Awards.
They are truly skilled in a number of important areas, including providing quick, commercial solutions for challenging and important problems. They can strategically use all facets of alternative conflict resolution, such as mediation, adjudication, and negotiation, in addition to formal procedures, such as court and arbitral proceedings.
They have a nurtured an environment where ambitious and hard-working lawyers are supported to succeed enjoying high calibre work with like-minded, inspiring colleagues who care about each other and their clients.
THE ROLE

ABOUT YOU
- Ability to support cases across a broad range of commercial disputes.
- Sound technical understanding of the law.
- Good drafting and communication skills.
- A commercial and common sense approach to issues.
- The ability to work to deadlines within a challenging environment.
- Self-motivation and be keen to be involved in training, marketing and business development.
- The ability to actively support complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed.
- A collaborative approach and ability to work well as part of a team, including cross-office and cross-border.
