Job Title: AVP of Ambulatory Operations
Location: Just outside of Tampa, FL area (30 Miles) and 1 Hour from Orlando, FL
Job Summary: Responsible for providing strategic direction and administrative leadership in the continued advancement of capacity and capability to provide greater access to a continuum of comprehensive ambulatory and outpatient services across the community and surrounding areas. This position is tasked with providing clear direction and efficient day-to-day management of the practice division's operations and performance outcomes.
As a leader focused on engaging staff and team members, the AVP will lead the continued development of a high performing, accessible and patient centered ambulatory care environment. This leader will be focused on the consistent delivery of an outstanding patient and provider experience by enhancing standardized, patient-focused processes; establishing performance benchmarks; guiding annual performance improvement activities; and evaluating the performance of administrative leaders across the continuum of outpatient sites.

- Promotes patient confidentiality and the highest standards of patient care through staff orientation, continuing education and support. Work collaboratively with the administrative and clinical team to develop appropriate clinical pathways and guidelines to promote "best practices".
- Supports SVP in implementation and updates of strategic plan. Ensures specific objectives, goals, targets and action plans identified in strategic plan are implemented. Monitors achievement of targets and strategic action plans on a quarterly basis. Communicates progress toward achievement of goals to all stakeholders.
- Supports and participates in development of business planning initiatives to ensure state-of-the-art and comprehensive services and locations throughout our community and into new markets. Aids in the identification and establishment of new ambulatory locations where applicable. Performs cost/benefit analysis of all proposed new services/programs. Promotes and monitors effectiveness of all current and new services.
- Seeks ongoing opportunities to hear, evaluate and incorporate input from all customers - patients, families, community, physicians and team members. Works with SVP to regularly evaluate all marketing and promotional efforts/tools for effectiveness and efficacy. Responsibly represents and visibly promotes the program to the community and public audiences. Serves as a role model for leadership to all appropriate departments/services.
- Demonstrates professionalism, competence, an open communication style, high integrity, energy, creativity, diplomacy and flexibility. Creates an environment of trust and respect while balancing financial concerns and needs. Employs effective management and supervision skills in recruitment, hiring, counseling, retention and termination. Promotes continuing education, managerial effectiveness and leadership skills among those managers who directly report to him/her.
- Works with SVP to ensure financial viability and monitor financial performance of service lines and areas of responsibility. Monitors monthly budget variances and takes appropriate action. Displays a rigorous discipline for cost accountability and sound use of resources, continuously seeking opportunities to reduce costs. Performs cost/benefit analyses of all new capital requests. Is knowledgeable of reimbursement issues and oversees appropriate billing and coding practices to maximize reimbursement. Works with SVP to seek appropriate supplemental funding for services as appropriate, e.g. grants, contributions.
- Creates and facilitates the interdisciplinary team process to ensure comprehensive service delivery for patients and families. Promotes opportunities for the team to understand the larger vision for the program and reinforces team efforts which work for the good of the team/program rather than an individual agenda or department. Maintains a high profile with physicians by working closely with physicians, as appropriate, to ensure that physicians' and hospital's needs are being met for quality of care, new services/technology, maximization of reimbursement and cost control.
- Understands and effectively utilizes multiple data resources to monitor all appropriate service, cost and clinical outcome data. Incorporates data in an ongoing manner into operational plans for the program(s) and monitors progress with outcome measures.
- Works with SVP and Medical Director to communicate outcome data to all stakeholders regularly, e.g. patients, families, team members, payers and the community. Works with SVP and Medical Director to promote comparative benchmarking initiatives where appropriate to analyze and improve practice patterns.
- Demonstrates accountability for strategic programs and service delivery within all areas of responsibility to support achievement of organizational priorities.
- Coaches leaders to support career growth and promotion and ability to lead and influence key stakeholders.
- Engages direct leadership team to leverage talent and embrace, sponsor and develop diversity of talent and capabilities.
- Directs and participates in direct leadership team development, performance management and engagement.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Visionary in thought and has the ability to think outside the box and develop unique offerings and solutions; Open-minded individual that can work collaboratively with various roles and disciplines.
- Candidates must demonstrate superior knowledge of emerging issues and trends including new technology, reimbursement, managed care and outcomes management.
Education - Bachelor, MBA
Experience - Minimum of five to seven years in a technical/professional role with increasing leadership responsibility. Candidates must demonstrate a solid record of at least three years of relevant management/leadership responsibility in a progressive health care organization
