Position Overview
HIRING: Coordinator of Program Services
LOCATION: Newburyport, MA, with travel to other program sites in MA
SALARY: $30.00 per hour
Supervision by: Director of Program Services

The Coordinator of Program Services provides operational, administrative, clinical supports, and supervision to Program Managers and their staff working in the group residences licensed by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and/or Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC).
As Coordinator of Program Services, you will be required to carry a cell phone with 24 X 7 for on call responsibility. The work schedule consists of day/second shift hours on a Monday - Friday basis
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position will require moderate sitting, standing, walking, and occasional driving to run errands. On a weekly basis, the approximate standards include the following and are dependent on required workload:

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides supervision, guidance and direction to Program Managers regarding the implementation of DDS/MRC regulations, and their mission statements, as well as the implementation of Turning Point, Inc. policies, procedures, and mission statement
- Participates in the planning and implementation of program goals and philosophies
- Maintains active involvement with group residences by regularly attending staff meetings, assists the Program Managers with staff training, development and employee relations/performance matters
- Assists Program Managers in the preparation of documentation for Peer Review, BMAT, the Risk Management team, and Program Reviews, when applicable
- Assists Program Managers with the coordination of ISP documentation and support documents required to ensure regulatory compliance
- Ensures the individuals being supported receive all entitlements for which they are eligible
- Oversees the routine household procedures and practices for which the Program Managers are responsible for conducting including, ensuring the household routine's meet the hygiene and household cleanliness required standards
- Ensures financial tracking and reporting are timely and accurate regarding the recordkeeping of the individual's funds and the household budget
- Ensures that menu planning, grocery shopping and adherence to the physician ordered diets are followed
- Supports the Program Managers with their interaction with the individuals families/guardians, DDS/MRC Service Coordinators/Case Managers and day program staff
- Provides guidance, training, and support to Program Managers regarding employee hiring, employee relations, discipline, and performance management/ development
- Ensures the delivery of quality supports to all individuals by providing on-going supervision and regularly monitoring of program operational, administrative, and clinical matters
- Supervises the Program Managers to ensure that program information required by DDS/MRC licensing and/or Survey and Certification Standards is current
- Works collaboratively with the Nursing and Clinical staff, as well as other departments such as the Business Office, Human Resources, and Facilities/Maintenance
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Program Services
- BS/BA degree and/or equivalent experience
- Ability to pass a CORI, Driving Record, and Fingerprinting checks prior to beginning of work and continued employment, as required by the position responsibilities and company policies
- Five (5) or more year's management and/or supervisory experience plus (10) years' experience working with intellectually and developmentally disabled and/or traumatic brain injury individuals in a human services residential setting is essential
- Thorough working knowledge of the Department of Developmental Services' (DDS), and/or Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) regulations and the ISP process
- Knowledge of intensive behavior plans is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills, including employee development, coaching and management skills, as well as excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication abilities
- Must able to work independently using proven problem solving, conflict resolution skills and time management skills
- Must be certified in CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration (MAP), and the ability to obtain a Positive Behavioral Support Certification. A PABC certification may be required
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook and/or Google email

- - Standing/Walking: 50% or more
- - Lifting: 30% or more of individuals (up to 100+ lbs.)
- - Twist/Turn/Squat: 30% or more
- - Forearm Rotation: 20% or more
- - Transportation: 2-3 hours per day (# of total hours vary depending on shifts)
