Job Description/ Responsibilities
1. Career professional role requiring high skill with extensive proficiency - answers and responds to increasingly complex network related questions and inquiries via telephone and electronic messaging systems utilizing established procedures.
2. Works independently with only administrative supervision and the ability to overcome major obstacles and recognize early when issues should be escalated, or a senior peer needs to be consulted.
3. Wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected to provide guidance and cross-training to others. Is proactive in identifying potential network services problem areas and recommending solutions.
4. Effectively communicates with all levels of technical and non-technical personnel.
5. Ability to negotiate complex processes and issues with others. Performs network service infrastructure design and engineering, service prototyping, and laboratory experimentation.
6. Contributes to the development, documentation and implementation of standards or guidelines.
7. Expanded knowledge of financial services industry, FIS products and services, and networking terms, concepts, practices, and policies including FIS's network infrastructure and architecture.
8. Has a basic understanding of regulator and audit requirement with respect to network services controls.
9. Typically requires five to seven years of experience performing hands on network services infrastructure engineering, diagnosing and correcting network problems and network equipment installation and configuration.
