Join one of the worlds top airlines at the cutting edge of customer facing technology for delta.com - As an Engineering Leader for Delta.com, you will be responsible for driving the overall vision and strategy for user interface development. Lead and mentor a team of Engineers, ensuring the delivery of high quality, user centric designs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on development efforts with overall Product goals. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : - Manage and provide architectural guidance and scope across pods supporting all roles in the pods - Manage all roles across pods and be technically astute to do so - Administrative support for team - Remove road blocks What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) : - BE / B Tech or ME / M Tech, preferably in a technical or scientific field, with 14 or more years of experience in IT project-based environment, or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and / or training. - 5 Years of proven experience in software engineering resource management or a related role, with a strong understanding of Software development and support processes and Agile methodologies. - Must be technically astute to white board out solutions to articulate design - Agile and preferably scaled agile experience - Advanced knowledge of Node JS and NPM, HTML5, JS and CSS - JavaScript framework familiarity with : Angular 6 and above, JS v4, Express JS, jQuery, typescript - UI testing, E2E testing, Jasmine, Karma, Protractor, PhantomJS, Application bundlers (Webpack, SystemJS),Task runners (Grunt, Gulp, etc) - Expertise with Continuous Integration and Delivery models CI/CD - Jenkins, Error tracking libraries, TrackJS - UX experience, including with interactions with external design firms, Figma. - Test Driven Development, Quality forward development practices, with automation at forefront for continuous quality - Performant sites focused on optimal time to interact for end consumers, and continuous focus on improvement of that - Secure sites that adhere to best practices for information security - Proven experience in managing a team of highly productive Software development resources. - Experience in managing resources working in a highly agile environment. - Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making. - Demonstrated experience in capacity planning, resource allocation, and Agile team management. - Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in IT engineering resource management. - Experience with resource management tools and software platforms is a plus. - Experience in cloud environment, experience with FinOps, using tools like Jira or Digital ai Agility, is a plus. - Experience or knowledge in AWS / Serverless architecture (Ex : Lambda, API GW). Encourage regular participation by business stakeholders in the software development process, to ensure that applications developed are prioritized according to business value and meet stakeholder needs. 13. Team Leadership : Manage a team of Software engineers, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, ensuring their growth and development. 14. Project Management : Oversee the entire design and development process for Delta's Omnichannel initiatives. 15, Resource Allocation : Manage the allocation of IT engineering resources across various projects and initiatives based on project requirements, resource availability, and skillsets. 16. Capacity Planning : Collaborate with Onsite teams and department heads to forecast resource needs and plan for future projects, ensuring that the team has the necessary resources to meet project demands. 17. Resource Utilization : Monitor resource utilization and productivity, identifying opportunities to optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency. 18. Skills Assessment : Assess the skillsets and strengths of IT engineering team members to ensure optimal alignment of resources with project requirements. 19. Resource Development : Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of IT engineering team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth. 20.
