Lead Designer - Product Design

Lead Designer : An extremely rare human-impact and wealth-creation opportunity for a passionate Designer to drive UX/UI Design for a top VC-backed early-stage healthcare startup. The product has been tested in early stages to significantly impact global cancer outcomes and is expected to increase health and longevity outcomes for 10 million lives every year. The Role : - Ideal candidate has 3 years of experience in product design and demonstrates: - Hands-On Detail Orientation : As the Lead Designer you will create the first product (live platform and App) as a detail-obsessed craftsman and subsequently expand the reach of the wider platform. - Deep Love and Empathy for Users : Our target audience is in the most vulnerable state of their life, anxious about both health and longevity. The product should be as much about hard health outcomes as about personal upliftment and community. - BrandCustodian : Defines the purpose, voice and personality of a brand that endures well beyond our lifetimes. Owns and executes very strong guidelines to create a "lovemark". - Passion for Gamification Science: We'll use various elements of gamification to form core habit-forming loops for users, enabling them to have transformative health outcomes. - Product vs Operations Mindset : Our platform has features of both health-services and pure-play product, the ideal design mindset would be to constantly product-ize services. The company is headquartered in New York, USA, but we'll be co-working from Location : Bengaluru. Job Responsibilities : - End-to-End Product Design : Interaction Design, Live and Asynchronous User Journey, Information architecture, Screen-by-Screen product Interfaces, and hands-on user research with continuous iteration to create highly effective user experiences. - Creating user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, and user feedback - Creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes and mockups - Translating requirements into style guides, design systems, design patterns and attractive user interfaces - Designing UI elements such as input controls, navigational components and informational components - Creating original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables) - Identifying and troubleshooting UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) - Collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and management teams - Incorporating customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience - Investigate and demonstrate understanding of the industry's most recent trends and innovations. - Create storyboards to conceptualize designs and accurately communicate project plans. Qualifications : - Product Designer with 3 years of experience, ideally in Consumer Apps with Large DAUs and/or two-sided marketplaces. - Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, HTML similar software that can allow easy design-dev collaboration. - A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms. - Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices for designing intuitive user interfaces. - Knowledge of front-end development technologies for mobile is a plus. - Should be able to hand-off design documentation to dev teams with great attention-to-detail. - Backed by a highly reputed founding team and top global investors, this is a great opportunity to do highly meaningful work, leading to large scale multi-generational impact.
