Data Analyst - SQL

We are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to strategic decision-making through data analysis and reporting. As a Data Analyst, you will manage large datasets, ensure data quality, develop reports, and provide insights that help shape business decisions. Key Responsibilities : - Oversee the creation, maintenance, and deletion of master data across systems, ensuring that data remains accurate and consistent. - Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring access to data and reporting systems is aligned with organizational policies. - Ensure the quality assurance of imported data by collaborating with quality assurance analysts when needed to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors. - Conduct routine checks and audits to validate data integrity and consistency. - Responsible for the commissioning (introduction) and decommissioning (retirement) of data sets, ensuring data relevance and usability for business purposes. - Implement processes for archiving or deleting outdated data in compliance with legal and business requirements. - Process and store confidential data securely and in compliance with organizational guidelines, privacy regulations, and best practices. - Ensure that sensitive data is appropriately handled and protected. - Assist in the development of customized reports and provide analytical insights to support decision-making across various departments. - Interpret complex data and present findings in a clear and understandable manner to stakeholders at all levels. - Design and maintain the reporting environment, which includes managing data sources, ensuring security protocols are followed, and overseeing metadata management. - Ensure the reporting environment is optimized for performance and scalable to handle increasing data volumes. - Work closely with the data warehouse team to identify and revise reporting requirements, ensuring they are aligned with the businesss evolving needs. - Provide support in integrating data from multiple sources to create a comprehensive reporting framework. - Support and lead data integrity initiatives, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, and normalized across systems. - Work on data cleansing and data preparation activities to ensure data quality before it is utilized in analysis or reporting. - Assist in the testing and implementation of new or upgraded data management software and systems. - Provide input and support in the strategic decision-making process for selecting new data systems or tools, ensuring they align with organizational needs. - Generate reports from multiple systems, presenting comprehensive insights to business stakeholders. - Use reporting tools to compile and summarize data from various sources to provide meaningful business insights. - Troubleshoot issues within the reporting database environment, ensuring the timely resolution of technical problems that may arise in data storage, access, or reporting processes. - Maintain and update reports and dashboards to ensure that they are functional and up-to-date. - Assess and evaluate changes and updates to source production systems to ensure compatibility with the existing reporting environment. - Implement necessary adjustments to maintain reporting accuracy and system functionality. - Provide training to end-users on how to use new reports and dashboards effectively. - Ensure that users are equipped with the knowledge to interpret and act on the data presented in reports. - Provide technical expertise in areas such as data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing. - Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in the data analytics field to ensure the team remains on the cutting edge of data management practices. Required Skills & Qualifications : - 2-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong background in data management, reporting, and analysis. - Proficient in SQL, data mining, and data analysis tools. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus. - Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing concepts. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and extract valuable insights. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable format for non-technical stakeholders. - Strong attention to detail and ability to spot data inconsistencies or discrepancies, ensuring high levels of data accuracy.
