Principal Automation Engineer - Cucumber Testing

Job Title: Principal Automation Engineer Job Location: Pune Overview of Job Function - Panzura is seeking a highly skilled Principal SQA (Software Quality Assurance) Engineer with strong automation skills to join our Panzura Data Services (PDS) team. - PDS is a SaaS data management solution providing a single, unified view and management of unstructured data, regardless of where it's stored. - The Principal SQA Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive test automation frameworks and strategies to ensure the highest quality of our PDS product. - This role requires a deep understanding of QA methodologies, exceptional automation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. - Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities - Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools and technologies. - Comprehensive Testing: Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and scalability testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the PDS product. - Automation Strategy: Develop and implement test automation strategies that align with the overall QA goals and objectives. - Identify areas for automation and improve existing automation processes. - Test Planning and Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts. - Execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and report defects. - Collaboration: Work closely with development, product management, and other QA team members to understand product requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and early detection of defects. - Quality Metrics: Define, track, and report on key quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of the QA process and identify areas for improvement. - Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in best practices for test automation and quality assurance. - Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for test plans, test cases, test scripts, and automation frameworks. - Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in test automation and quality assurance. - Continuously improve the QA processes and practices. Minimum Requirements : - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience: 8 years of experience in software quality assurance with a focus on test automation. - Experience over Enterprise Data Management product quality assurance. - Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g, Pytest,Robot, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber, etc. - Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript. - Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - CI/CD: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and processes. - Database Skills: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB). - Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems like Git. - Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
