Lead Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities : 1. Data Modeling & Algorithm Development : - Lead the design and implementation of advanced data models and algorithms to address consumer problems, enhancing product functionality and user experience. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate machine learning models into production environments. 2. Domain Expertise : - Apply expertise in at least one of the following areas : - Logistics : Develop solutions for supply chain optimization, address validation, and return-to-origin processes. - Search : Enhance search algorithms to improve relevance and efficiency. - Personalization/Recommendations/Ranking : Create personalized experiences for users through recommendation systems and ranking algorithms. 3. Performance Tracking & Improvement : - Monitor and evaluate the performance of models and algorithms, iterating on solutions to achieve optimal results. - Utilize data-driven insights to refine and enhance existing models. 4. Team Leadership & Mentorship : - Mentor junior data scientists and analysts, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. - Lead project teams to ensure alignment with business goals and timely delivery of data science initiatives. 5. Collaboration with Stakeholders : - Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. - Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making. 6. Research & Innovation : - Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI, applying cutting-edge techniques to solve complex problems. - Contribute to the development of best practices and innovative solutions within the organization. Qualifications : - Education : Tier 1 Computer Science (CS) (CGPA > 7.5) - Institutions include : IITs, NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, IIIT Allahabad, IIIT Hyderabad, DTU/DCE/NSIT, BITS Pilani OR MS in AI/ML from a top US university - Proven track record of successfully working on data modeling or algorithms that solve consumer problems. - Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java, and proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Pandas, NumPy). - Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Matplotlib).
