Power BI Developer - Data Analytics

Salary : 6-12 LPA Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying business intelligence solutions using Power BI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, create data models, and generate insightful reports and dashboards that drive decision-making and strategic planning. Key Responsibilities : Report & Dashboard Development : - Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data visualization. - Implement row-level security (RLS) on datasets for enhanced data security. Data Modeling & Analysis : - Create and maintain complex data models in Power BI. - Build efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various data sources. - Develop DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas and calculations to enable advanced data analysis. Collaboration & Communication : - Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide effective solutions. - Present insights and recommendations derived from data to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Collaborate with database administrators and other teams to integrate data from various sources, including SQL Server, Azure, and other cloud/on-premise data sources. Performance Optimization : - Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for better performance and usability. - Conduct performance tuning of Power BI datasets, data models, and queries. Maintenance & Support : - Ensure the reliability, availability, and accuracy of Power BI reports and data. - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Power BI applications. - Provide ongoing support, training, and guidance to users. Required Skills & Qualifications : Technical Skills : - 3 years of experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power BI. - Strong proficiency with Power Query, DAX, and building complex data models. - Experience working with SQL databases, SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), and other data storage systems. - Proficiency in ETL tools and processes for data integration from multiple sources (e.g., Excel, APIs, databases, cloud platforms). Tools & Technologies : - Experience with data integration tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or similar. - Familiarity with Power BI Service, including Power BI Workspaces, Apps, and Row-Level Security (RLS). - Experience with Azure, Azure SQL Database, and/or Azure Synapse is a plus. Analytical Skills : - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets. - Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies. - Certifications (preferred but not required) : Microsoft Certified : Data Analyst Associate or other relevant Microsoft certifications. Soft Skills : - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights in a clear and concise manner. - Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple tasks. Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Optional Additions : Nice to Have : - Knowledge of Python/R for data analysis or automation. - Experience with other BI tools like Tableau or QlikView. - Familiarity with agile project management methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
