SAST Testing Engineer - Applications Security

Job Title : SAST Testing Engineer. Location : Bengalore/Mumbai / Chennai / Hyderabad / Pune. Experience Required : 7-11 years. Job Description : We are seeking a skilled SAST Specialist to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in secure code analysis and a strong understanding of application security. This role involves working with various development teams to perform security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and provide remediation guidance. Key Responsibilities : - Perform manual secure code analysis or use SAST tools to assess security within applications. - Utilize tools such as Fortify, Checkmarx, or other SAST scanning tools for code review and vulnerability identification. - Review code for vulnerabilities in at least one development language (i.e., Java, .NET, Python). - Provide detailed guidance and recommendations to developers for fixing identified vulnerabilities. - Collaborate with teams across the organization to ensure secure coding practices are being followed. - Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats and assess systems to ensure they can protect the business from new risks. - Serve as a subject matter expert in application security, helping teams with vulnerability remediation. Key Skills : - Secure code analysis, SAST. - Hands-on experience with Fortify, Checkmarx, or similar SAST tools. - Strong understanding of Java, .NET, Python, or other programming languages. - Familiarity with application vulnerability identification and remediation practices. - Up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats.
