Senior Manager - DevOps

Job Description : Engineering Leader DevOps plays a crucial role in leading the DevOps team and driving the implementation of continuous integration and delivery practices. This position is pivotal in aligning engineering processes with the organization's business objectives and ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : - Lead and mentor the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. - Oversee the development and operation of cloud infrastructure and services. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation, efficiency, and scalability. - Establish best practices for monitoring, logging, and alerting across the infrastructure. - Drive the adoption of DevOps culture and practices across engineering teams. - Manage the budget, resources, and timelines for DevOps projects. - Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements. - Lead incident response and resolution efforts to maintain high availability of systems. - Collaborate with product management to align DevOps initiatives with product roadmaps. - Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation. - Develop and maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and infrastructure. - Participate in recruiting, hiring, and performance management of the DevOps team. - Contribute to the overall engineering leadership and strategic direction. - Identify and drive initiatives for continuous improvement of engineering processes. - Collaborate with executive leadership to align DevOps strategies with business goals. Required Qualifications : - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, With minimum experience of 18 yrs in software engineering. - Proven experience in a leadership role within a DevOps or infrastructure engineering team. - Demonstrated expertise in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines. - In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (i.e., Docker, Kubernetes). - Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. - Experience with infrastructure as code techniques using Terraform or CloudFormation. - Thorough understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical challenges. - Proven track record of driving cultural and organizational change towards DevOps practices. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams. - Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and project management. - Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are a plus. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a strategic focus. - Strong commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
