Software Engineer - Java/JPA/Hibernate

Responsibilities : - Develop, maintain, and optimize relational databases using Oracle or SQL Server. - Create and manage complex queries, stored procedures, and views to support application functionality. - Apply CRUD operations on databases using Java Persistence API (JPA)/Hibernate. - Ensure database versioning and schema management using Liquibase. - Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and services using Java, ensuring robust and scalable API designs. - Work with OpenAPI to document APIs and integrate with internal/external systems. - Implement message-oriented middleware and streaming data applications using Kafka. - Utilize Java and Spring framework fundamentals to create backend services and applications. - Collaborate with front-end developers working on JavaScript to develop cohesive applications. - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and deployment processes using Git and other DevOps tools. - Deploy and manage applications in AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. - Use Terraform to define and deploy cloud infrastructure as code (IaC). - Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize deployed applications to maintain high availability. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. - Assist with task estimation, assignment, monitoring, and reviewing team progress to ensure timely project completion. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, quality assurance, and design teams, to align on requirements and deliver a high-quality user experience. - Apply basic knowledge of the lease/loan finance industry to align application development with domain-specific requirements. - Understand business requirements and convert them into functional and technical specifications. Qualifications : - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 2 years of software development experience with a focus on backend and database technologies. - Intermediate-level knowledge of relational databases, especially Oracle and SQL Server. - Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to manage tasks within team sprints. - Basic understanding of the lease/loan finance industry, with the ability to integrate industry-specific requirements into development processes.
