Frontend Engineer - TypeScript/Javascript

Responsibilities : Lead : - Mentor and guide a team of front-end developers, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. - Provide technical leadership and support to team members, including code reviews and knowledge sharing. Develops : - Hands-on person who can lead the development of web applications, both desktop, and mobile, using TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS. - Ensure the delivery of high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces. Design : - Collaborate with the architecture and design teams to define front-end architecture, patterns, and best practices. - Make informed decisions regarding technology stack and tooling. Innovate : - Explore innovative front-end development techniques and emerging technologies. - Investigate and assess/introduce AI-based solutions to streamline development processes while maintaining high-quality standards. Test : - Establish and enforce coding standards and testing methodologies to maintain code quality. - Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Secure : - Implement security best practices, to ensure the development of secure and robust web applications. - Conduct security assessments and take proactive measures to address vulnerabilities. Collaborate : - Work closely with back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of front-end components and user-centered design principles. Document : - Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, architecture, and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members. Optimise : - Optimise front-end code and assets for speed and scalability. - Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying and resolving : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience). - Proven experience (7-10 years) in front-end development with expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, React.js, HTML, and CSS. - Strong understanding of web development best practices and standards. - Demonstrated leadership experience, including leading or managing a development team. - Knowledge of security best practices and experience in building secure software following OWASP guidelines. - Experience with responsive and mobile-first web development. - Proficiency in version control systems (e. g., Git). - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both in-house and remote team members. - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Ideal Candidate : - Experience with front-end build tools and package managers (e. g., Webpack, npm). - Familiarity with UI/UX design principles. - Knowledge of progressive web app (PWA) development. - Experience with performance optimization techniques. - Experience with the latest front-end technologies and frameworks is a plus.
