Ideal candidates exhibit good skills, many years of experience and possible Certifications in one or more of the following areas: Requirements Microsoft or Linux systems, preferably in an enterprise environment. Virtualization technologies (VMware) . Application server . DevOps and Cloud technologies. Backup . Storage . Database . Scripting and/or programming languages. Knowledge of: Basic knowledge in Networking (switches, routers, balancers) and Protocols (TCP, NFS, CIFS, etc). Basic knowledge in Security (Firewall, VPN, etc). Familiarity with Network Services such as DNS, DHCP and Active Directory. Ability to analyze performance and tune systems.
