Communication Manager Reporting to the Head of Communications and Public Affairs Italy & Belgium, you will play an important and leading role in helping Deliveroo protect and build its reputation. What you’ll do: Support the Head of Communications and Public Affairs with all media relations in Italy, including handling incoming media queries from the national print and broadcast media. Support the Head of Communications and Public Affairs with the creation of positive business announcements and creative partnerships and campaigns, focused on the most important areas of Deliveroo policy - e.g. healthy eating, supporting Deliveroo riders, CSR and ESG programmes. Identify new and interesting opportunities for Deliveroo to build its corporate reputation in the national and local and trade media and build relationships with a network of journalists. Support the Head of Communications and Public Affairs with the creation of positive consumer stories, working with an external agency, coordinating with the international Consumers Team and with the local Marketing teams. Create high-quality briefing materials to support the GM, Management Team and the rest of the Italian Team with media interviews and meetings, and all corporate-related internal briefing documents. What we’re looking for: Experience in corporate PR (in-house/agency), working in Parliament/government or a related organisation (e.g. a leading think tank). An in-depth understanding of the Italian media and political landscape with an excellent antenna for successful stories and a desire to work on current policy issues which are at the top of the news agenda. A track record of landing positive corporate and consumer coverage in the national and regional media and building successful campaigns which have made a genuine impact, with a focus on CSR/ESG. You will be comfortable in communicating complex and sensitive policy issues to multiple senior partners and national media. You will bring an existing network of media contacts to the role.
