This position reports to R&D Team Lead Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to propose and implement technology development and solutions. You will execute product development tasks using your technical expertise. Every day, you will perform a variety of technology/engineering assignments, recognizing problems and providing input on solutions. The work model for the role is: LI-Onsite. This role contributes to the Electrification Service division located in Dalmine. You will be mainly accountable for: Documenting work and contributing to written reports. Keeping up to date with strategic plans and performing activities in line with the current direction. Contributing your own creative ideas to R&D projects and proposing follow-up activities based on project results. Gathering information about ABB products and technologies and developing an understanding of technical drivers and customer value. Providing consulting services to business operations and customers. Participating in working teams and offering assistance to co-workers, as well as consulting team members and colleagues to gain information and knowledge. Recognizing the importance of intellectual property in the industry and the advantage of ABB's patents relevant to your own area of research, as well as grasping risk management in R&D projects. You will join a high-performing team, where you will be able to thrive. Qualifications for the role You are highly skilled in knowledge of electricity and its effects (thermal, dielectric, mechanical stresses), mechanical/material engineering, and the electrical and/or mechanical market. You have 0-3 years of experience in electromechanical engineering, preferably working/studying as a designer/engineer with electromechanical products. Possess enhanced knowledge of 2D CAD and 3D CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks). Reading capability of simple electrical diagrams. Capability of electrical/mechanical design solutions starting from plain white paper. You are innovative with a solution-focused approach and possess strong written and spoken communication skills. Degree in technical fields, preferably Electrical or Mechanical. You are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken. What's in it for you?
