Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Design Engineer is dedicated to the design of electrical systems and diagrams, in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations. Responsibilities Design and draw the circuit diagram of switchboards and on-board automation systems; Ensure the automation architecture on the basis of machinery system operation requirements and safety regulations by defining the bill of materials and choice of components; Verifying, where required, the assembly and commissioning phases of the installations, in order to provide assistance to the production departments, improving and resolving any problems inherent to the electrical design; Work as part of a team, contributing to the development of efficient and reliable projects and technologies, in accordance with company procedures and regulations. Activities Electrical and plant design of automatic machines; Drafting the bill of materials for both the machine edge and electrical cabinet; Preparation of documentation, cable lists, connection tables; Research of alternative or new solutions for optimization of electrical plant engineering; Supporting the budgeting of new installations and customizations; Production support in assembly and testing of installations. Must have Diploma in electrical or electronics/electrotechnical field; Knowledge of use of electrical CAD software (knowledge of the IGE-XAO system is a preference); Knowledge of electrical components (electrical panels and machine board); Ability to work with people with multi-purpose technical skills (mechanical and electronic); Willingness to become autonomous in the management of assigned activities; Accuracy and methodological rigor; Curiosity and ability to frame assigned activities from a broader perspective; Knowledge of English language level B1/B2; Knowledge of use of major office software: Excel, Word; Willingness to listen and mediation skills. Nice to have Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering; Previous experience in an industrial environment; Knowledge of the functionality of inverters, drives, sensors, numerical controls, PLCs, anthropomorphic robots; Knowledge of PLC programming; Knowledge in the use of safety controllers and SAFE PLCs; Knowledge of industry regulations and the main national and international standards (CEI, IEC, UL, machinery directive, etc.) as well as aspects of machine safety regulations; Knowledge of pneumatics; Knowledge of hydraulics; Ability to analyse the technical feasibility of orders; Ability to search for faults and/or weak points in the system; Aptitude for multitasking; Ability to plan and prioritise design activities using MS Project; Knowledge of SAP management system (ERP).
