Job Description
Job Title: Financial Accountant Report to: Finance Manager Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration and professional accounting Qualification. Required Experience: At least two years' experience of preparing and reviewing management accounts, statutory accounts, and corporation tax computations ideally within a practice environment and/or as an accountant in a company. Very good ability to work independently when required. Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel. Good communication skills at all levels. Fluent in English and Italian; Spanish or any additional language will be considered a plus. Purpose of the Management Accountant Role: To take responsibility for Bluefield Revive Italia I Srl ("Revive" or the "Holdco") a portion of the Italian SPV's including and provide support to the Finance manager for ensuring compliance with all statutory reporting deadlines and tasks. Support the Italian company accounts processing and review including liaison with external accountants. Regulatory compliance and support to the Bluefield Italian team as required. To provide support with Internal management accounts relating to Revive Group companies while being the key liaison with the outsourced providers. Duties and Responsibilities: To ensure compliance of core finance tasks. To assist on Finance Due Diligence on potential acquisitions. Support the integration of new project acquisitions. Work as part of a team to ensure delivery of key workstreams and to deadline. Project Company Tasks: Daily financial management of Revive and its Special Purpose Vehicles in Italy. Management of the general ledger and posting of business transactions. Carrying out monthly, quarterly, and annual closing in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAPs and report the result to the department head. Responsible for and active management of Revive accounting and tax compliance. Manage the financial audit of SPVs and respond to the requests from any relevant company's external auditor. Be a key business partner to Bluefield companies (such as BLUEFIELD ITALIA SRL and BLUEFIELD SERVICES ITALIA SRL), as well as external accounting and tax advisory firms. Work closely with the Fund Controller and the outsourced accountants and service providers for the relevant project companies on the preparation of management and year-end statutory accounts: Preparation, monitoring and updating of Budget (operational and cash) and Forecast (Costs, Revenues, Investments); Review Balance Sheet of period prepared by the local accountant and draft Budget and Forecast, considering cash-in and cash-out forecasted; Review of monthly Report IAS and ITAGAAP prepared by local accountant and presentation to Managers and Stakeholders. Take responsibility for project SPV's (generators, development and holding companies) including liaison with the Fund Controller to ensure the timely approval and payment of supplier invoices. Work with outsourced tax advisors on relevant project company tax returns and monthly VAT returns. Provide input and support on external debt compliance, budgets and forecasting including variance reporting when required, analysis of expenditure to support relevant capital expenditure programs, FiT revenue subsidy submissions process together with revenue collection, and investor reporting as required. Responsible for timely cash management (payments and revenues) of project companies and Holdcos. Send and manage payments to landlords including notification of lease increases, community benefit payment and turnover rent. Maintain data security and confidentiality by using information within the parameters of the job role, any applicable SLAs, the company data policies and/or privacy notices and the statutory guidelines set out within the GDPR and any associated legislation with regard to any data for the Project Company accounts and Bluefield internal accounts. Comply with all required fire, health and safety requirements for the environment in which you are working, including making yourself aware of the current applicable policies and risk assessments and acting accordingly, and attending any required training. Any other reasonable task as requested by a line manager. Liaison with regulatory bodies as required to ensure compliance. Ad hoc projects for the Italian Holdco and SPV's within the Revive portfolio. Interactions within Bluefield Group: Communicate as required within the finance team. Provide information to the Investment and Portfolio Management team for reporting. Collaborate with the Investment team regarding revenue agreements. Provide information to and request information from the Asset Management team and Portfolio team as required. Support information requests received from other teams within the Bluefield "Group". Liaise with the external accountants as required. Job Locations: Initially home based (with Rome as preferred city) with travel to the Italian and other offices or locations as required.
