The PositionThe position
We are looking for a Data Management & Governance Senior Analyst who will join us in the newly set up Integrated Informatics for a journey to drive and promote efficient and effective information management throughout the organization.
The Opportunity:
You will work on various aspects of Data management and governance including but not limited to:
- Driving and taking the lead in identifying information value opportunities through strategic discussions with Senior Business and IT Leaders as needed and providing decision support.
- Acting as the Informatics representative to define Information and Data Strategies as part of an overall Business Strategy.
- Identifying areas for improvement in terms of information flows and structure, automation, information representation, and advising project teams in best practice and implementation.
- Improving the overall quality of the enterprise data assets through the effective application of best practices in information design.
- Backlog Management: Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, making continuous adjustments to reflect changing priorities and market dynamics.
- Transform requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and mockups that guide the development process.
- Following up on the resolution of Incidents (e.g. keeping the customer informed).
Who you are:
- Experience in data strategy and data governance, preferably in a consulting environment with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
- Is principally focused on enterprise information solutions, such as master data management, metadata management, business intelligence, data interoperability, data analysis, data quality, data integration.
- Experience with Collibra or similar tools is a strong asset.
- Experience with databases and data modeling concepts including data extraction and manipulation using SQL or similar tools (including advanced Excel skills for data analysis); expertise using Power platform suite of tools such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, etc. to build solutions to support/scale Data Governance and Quality capabilities.
- Understands database structures and their relationships, as well as data models and data standards.
- Exhibits an Agile mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely and present complex/technical concepts simply.
- Advanced English for working with global stakeholders and the IT community.
- Relevant data certifications knowledge of data governance/management tools.
What you will be doing:
- Data Governance: Support with the implementation of the enterprise-wide data governance processes/tools including data community engagement, issue/change resolution, data access/sharing, and data decision-making, while also incorporating data privacy, data protection, and data risk aspects.
- Data Quality Management: Support with the deployment of the Data Quality framework and processes; partner with the business to elicit data quality requirements and implement controls that are monitored and actioned regularly.
- Metadata Management: Advise businesses on Metadata concepts and partner with them to gather relevant metadata to build an enterprise data catalog while ensuring the metadata remains updated/accurate.
- Data Platform and Initiatives: Participate in data initiatives including those involving the Enterprise Data Platform to deploy Data Governance and Quality processes for the delivery of data for reporting, analytics, operations, and digital capabilities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with business and technology stakeholders rooted in strong collaboration to allow Data Governance and Quality processes to become embedded in the day-to-day business activities.
- Communications and Training: Build and disseminate effective communication and training materials using diverse channels/approaches to elevate Data Governance knowledge in the organization and drive the adoption of processes and tools.
- Performance and Effectiveness: Support with the definition and implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of data governance and quality programs/processes while providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
