Job Description
White Raven Resourcing Ltd are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent recruitment services.
Due to continued growth, our client are currently recruiting a SHE Officer for our Surfacing and Civil Engineering Projects.
The role will involve assisting with the efficient and effective management of the functions of Safety, Health and Environmental issues within Surfacing and Civil Engineering sites.
The successful candidate will be based out of our clients Head Office in Magherafelt.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be tasked with:
• Assisting with the compilation and implementation of Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• To ensure the effective maintenance and improvement of the Integrated Management system in relation to the OHSAS45001 and 14001 standards.
• Conduct risk assessments associated with construction site activities
• Ability to negotiate with statutory authorities
• Conduct workplace audits and present findings
• Detailed investigations and reporting of accidents/incidents
• Coordinate and accompany contractor/end user/client auditors on operational visits
• Visit sites to ensure that employees/subcontractors are adhering to all health and safety requirements
• Promote a positive health and safety culture whilst recommending new initiatives for continuous improvement
• Undertake Visible Felt Leadership visits with Site Management team
• Co-ordinate the availability of persons and facilities to ensure managers, supervisors and employees attend and complete identified training.
• To identify improvement activities and training needs and give feedback of findings to managers and Compliance Manager
• When possible, assist in the delivery of training
• To advise managers on compliance
• Monitoring staff to ensure compliance
• Assist the company in reviewing and implementing all the necessary RAMS documentation in line with their third-party contract requirements
• Carry out any other reasonable request made by line manager to support departmental or company objectives
