Job Description
Job Title: Hydraulic Modeller
Location: South Wales (Hybrid - 2 days per week in the office)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Modeller to join our team, specialising in wastewater networks. This role involves using hydraulic modelling to assess system behaviour, analyse impacts of changes, and develop improvement strategies. You will play a key role in supporting operational incidents, development planning, and environmental management, while maintaining and enhancing the hydraulic model library.
The ideal candidate will have extensive UK experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling and be proficient in InfoWorks ICM.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the hydraulic model library.
Plan and deliver modelling activities across regulatory periods.
Conduct hydraulic assessments and optioneering using InfoWorks ICM.
Provide technical expertise to internal teams and external partners.
Produce and review technical reports with intervention assessments.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in modelling processes and tools.About You
Essential Requirements
Degree in Civil Engineering, Science, or a related analytical discipline.
At least 5 years of UK-based experience in wastewater hydraulic modelling, with strong proficiency in InfoWorks ICM.
Understanding of wastewater networks, treatment processes, and regulatory requirements.
Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.Desirable
Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIWEM).
Knowledge of InfoAsset or GIS tools.This is a hybrid role requiring attendance at the South Wales office for two days per week, with flexibility for remote working the remainder of the week.
