CNC Operator

Circa £13.00 to £17.00 per hour
EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CNC Operator to join a precision engineering company located in Leicester working on a permanent basis.
Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

* Shifts: 9 day fortnight- Week 1: Monday to Thursday: 5.30am - 4.00pm and Friday 5.30am -1.30pm, Week 2: Monday to Thursday 12.00pm - 10.30pm and Friday non-working day.
* Pay rates are dependant on experience ranging from £13.00 to £17.00 per hour
* Overtime available at premium rates

The business is a leading specialist in manufacturing detailed, safety-critical components for several market leaders within the aerospace market.
Due to continued success and further growth, our client requires additional support within their machining department.
As a CNC Operator, you will set up and run machines to meet customer specifications. You will read and interpret engineering drawings and ensure parts are manufactured in line with quality requirements but self inspecting your own parts.
Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:
* Strong experience within a machining role
* Aerospace, defence or similar complex manufacturing background
* Able to operate CNC machines
* Understanding of Fanuc controls
* Confidence using lathes and various turning machines
* Confidence in performing self inspection of parts using manual measuring equipment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in imperial measurements
* Worked with large batch sizes
* Ability to lift heavy boxes parts of 15kg
