Junior Shift Engineer – Continental Shift – Commercial Building – Kings Cross, London – £35,000 Per annum

My client is looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Shift Engineer to be based in a commercial building in Kings Cross, London. A successful candidate will be electrically or mechanically biased (C&G / NVQ). Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical, and mechanical maintenance. In return, the company offers a competitive salary of £35,000, further training and career progression.

Internal Progression & DevelopmentHours of work
Continental Shift - 4 nights, 4off, 3 days, 3 nights, 6off, 4 days - 07:00am - 19:00pm / 19:00am - 07:00am
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
Emergency lighting tests & Fire alarm tests
Plant room maintenance
Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
Control Panels
Changing Ballast
BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
Maintain and update Log books
Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
Pumps, motorsRequirements
Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3 or mechanically City & Guilds Level 2
Have a hard-working attitude
Willingness to learn
Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
Good communication skills
