Position: Network Engineer
Location: Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
The Role

Key Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer will play a key role in supporting, designing, testing, and maintaining both local and wide area networks, including hardware, wireless systems, and security within a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
Based in the Manchester office, this role offers hybrid working with 2 days onsite.
* Assisting in network upgrades and migrations across the company, defining project requirements, outlining scope, schedules, and producing detailed project designs.
* Identifying and implementing solutions to improve network reliability and stability, as well as maintaining a high-availability network setup. This includes configuring and managing network tools.
* Managing relationships with circuit providers and overseeing the ordering, maintenance, issue resolution, and performance monitoring of subscribed services.
* Adhering to established ITSM, ITIL, and Change Management processes, participating in the Change Advisory Board, and ensuring that global network standards are upheld across teams.
* Conducting security audits, implementing necessary changes, managing spare hardware inventory, and tracking software/firmware versions to align with lifecycle management standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of experience working as a Network Engineer role within large-scale, multi-site environments.
* Experience with Catalyst (ideally C8300), Nexus 9K, or Meraki hardware.
* Solid experience in Cisco environments, including Routing & Switching, SD-WAN, and wireless.
* Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) are a desirable for the organisation.
