Job Description
The Role of an English Teacher
The school is looking for an engaging English Teacher to inspire a love for literature and language across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 if qualified). You'll create and deliver stimulating lessons aligned with the national curriculum, fostering students' analytical and critical thinking skills. Collaboration with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs are essential aspects of this role.
Requirements for an English Teacher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
Experience teaching at secondary level, ideally at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus)
