Job Description
A leading UK mechanical contractor is seeking a skilled Ductwork Project Manager to oversee multiple fast-paced projects, primarily focusing on HVAC systems. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive mechanical solutions to a range of clients, many of whom are repeat customers. The work involves managing several smaller projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high standards of quality.
The company has over 40 years of experience in the mechanical contracting industry and is undergoing significant growth following a recent restructuring. With a strong reputation for looking after its staff and a clear path for progression, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a company with a solid business development plan.
The successful candidate will have a mechanical background, ideally with hands-on experience (such as a duct fitter, welder, or heating/ventilation engineer), and a minimum of three years of project management experience. You should be comfortable in client-facing roles, possess strong negotiation and contract management skills, and be capable of troubleshooting issues on-site. Experience managing fast-paced projects and developing RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statement) documents is essential. The role also requires effective communication with field teams, ensuring smooth project transitions between the sales and technical teams.
Flexibility is key, as the position involves UK-wide projects with some home-working options.
The position offers a salary of £60,000 to £70,000, plus a vehicle allowance, BUPA healthcare, 28 days of holiday, and a free Christmas shutdown period. With the company’s projected growth over the next five years, there are significant opportunities for career advancement.
