Location: Glasgow / Lothian and Borders, Strathclyde, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife, Central belt etc.
Salary – from £40,000 - £45,150 per year (negotiable based on experience) with a strong benefits package and fantastic career progression opportunities

Role
The Site Supervisor role is a pivotal role within the SPT Business and involves the supervision of construction activities during the delivery phase of SP Energy Networks Major Projects.
The Site Supervisor will work under supervision of the Site Manager and will be responsible for the:
Supervise and monitor the agreed Project Delivery Strategy reporting on contractor performance.
Collaborate with Design Teams, Project Managers, Construction Managers, and Site Managers to plan and monitor the works.
Responsible for reviewing contractors’ lookahead programmes, interfaces, coordination, etc.
Flexible approach to working durations to meet the requirements of an external contracted workforce whilst holding the duty Principal Contractor role.
Monitor and coordinate Transmission operations to meet operational requirements in line with agreed system outages.
Working environments – Flexible approach in line with project requirements, shift patterns, remote locations and out-of-hours working.
What you will bring
Preferably, knowledge of specifications, designs, maintenance, construction and commissioning of underground cables, monitoring and inspecting the installation of duct systems, underground cables, horizontal directional drilling, joint bays, sealing ends, terminations, and fibre optic connections.
Candidates with transferrable skills in street works, highways, utility services, low voltage installations will be considered with experience in GS6, HSG47, Temporary works, New Roads and Street Works Act.
Ability to understand valid for construction drawings and all inspection and testing regimes associated.
Ability to monitor quality assurance and environmental processes.
Skilled in the use of PC & Microsoft Software Applications for planning and organising works, and able to use digital forms of communication TEAMS.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, leadership & planning skills.
Experience and knowledge in all current Health and Safety legislation & understanding of CDM 2015 regs & duty holder roles.
What you'll be doing
Supervision the delivery of contracted works packages. Assist the Site Manager (SM) in managing the works to ensure regulatory compliance with Health & Safety Law and CDM regulations 2015.
Ensure Constructability and working methods are interpreted and aligned with engineering design scope, valid for construction drawings, and standards, providing technical expertise and supervision of work packages.
Keeping accurate site records and providing progress reports.
Assist with the management of contracted works and collaborate with Transmission Planning and Operational teams to establish safe work practices and minimise the impact on the high voltage system.
Monitor and ensure robust inspections and test plans (ITPs) and quality checks in line with witness points and hold points, defects and non-conformances raised to ensure compliance with the contract.
Monitor to ensure works are carried out in line with the environmental requirements, compliance with waste management, pollution prevention, environmental licences and regulatory requirements are planned and managed through the contractor supply chain.
Assist with Customer and Stakeholder engagement by monitoring and providing regular reporting updates to the SM.
Minimum Requirements
Construction equivalent site management experience in Construction and Utility Businesses.
Competent IT skills.
Full UK driving licence
Current two-day SSSTS qualification or five-day SMSTS.
