Senior Management Accountant

Consumer Additions are partnering with a fast growth beauty and cosmetics brand to help them recruit a Senior Management Accountant into the team.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Responsible for the AP and AR functions and the management of the Junior Management Accountant.
• Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries.
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual accounts for review with Controller, providing commentary and explaining key variances to budget and forecast.
• Manage the monthly reconciling of balance sheet and intercompany accounts, highlighting any issues or discrepancies to the Controller.
• Maintain a register of fixed assets, capitalising and depreciating in line with appropriate policy.
• Ownership of CoGs P&L with department business partners ensuring costs are captured in a timely manner and the budget is not exceeded.
• Prepare the quarterly VAT return using the accounting system reports with supporting reconciliations.
• Manage Finance’s internal control framework and procedures
• Work with external auditors and internally coordinate the year end audit cycles.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Be the NetSuite system superuser and continually look for ways to improve usage.

The ideal candidate:

• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience of managing AP and AR functions
• Line management experience.
• Experience of annual audit process
• Working knowledge of NetSuite
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience of UK VAT
• Strong analytical skills and keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
