About the Role:

We’re looking for a passionate and driven Quantity Surveyor to be a key player in our Streetlighting Division at Milestone. Based at our depot near Junction 25, M25 (Waltham Cross, Enfield), you’ll manage the commercial aspects of our exciting contracts with Thurrock and Redbridge councils.

You’ll be part of a dynamic and vibrant commercial team, working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee everything from routine maintenance and emergency call-outs to large-scale capital projects. If you're ready to take ownership of budgets, track project performance, and build strong relationships with clients, we want you on board!

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and submit monthly applications to clients on time – keeping everything on track
• Ensure any changes are captured and submitted, keeping things in line with contract deadlines
• Work your magic estimating and agreeing on schedules of rates
• Build solid relationships with clients and customers, making sure their needs are met
• Provide regular project reports, including CVR and forecasts, to keep everyone in the loop
• Stay on top of direct costs, WIP, and cash collection to ensure financial health
• Manage risks and the EWN (Early Warning Notification) process with precision
• Offer contractual support to the operations team to keep things running smoothly
• Attend weekly commercial and operational meetings – your voice will be heard!
• Take the lead on procurement and management of subcontract accounts
• Tackle any other tasks as needed – no two days are the same!

What You Bring:

• Self-motivated with great time management skills
• Financially astute with an eye for accuracy and detail
• Strong communicator – you know how to keep things clear and concise
• Comfortable working to deadlines and delivering under pressure
• Experience with routine and non-routine works (planned, emergency, and capital schemes) is a plus, but not essential
• Tech-savvy and experienced with software like Mayrise or Confirm (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of NEC4 term service contracts (desirable, but not essential)
