The Role

We are seeking a commercially minded, ambitious, and experienced senior project manager to join our life sciences delivery operations practice. In this senior role, you will shape and guide the international business of our clients in the life sciences sector, delivering high-stakes, complex transformation initiatives. You will provide strategic guidance and oversight, helping biotech and pharmaceutical executives achieve impactful outcomes through market analysis, commercial strategies, and advanced technology implementation.

Senior PM Responsibilities

  1. Drive and Oversee High-Impact Projects
  2. Lead the entire project lifecycle for high-value business initiatives, including market research, sales operations, client service delivery, and cross-functional corporate activities, ensuring projects align with client objectives and deliver maximum value.
  3. Strategic Portfolio Governance and Executive Communication
  4. Partner with executive stakeholders to support portfolio governance, providing insights on account strategies, project pipelines, operational standards, and financial analysis. Proactively communicate at the executive level to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
  5. Enhanced Project Delivery and Cross-Team Collaboration
  6. Oversee client service delivery, collaborating with consultancy teams to meet stringent timelines, budgets, and specifications. Act as the primary escalation point for complex issues and develop strategies to ensure project success.
  7. Advanced Risk Management and Strategic Forecasting
  8. Lead efforts in forecasting and monitoring project dependencies and risks. Prepare strategic recommendations to reduce project uncertainty, mitigate risks, and control costs, ensuring readiness for any change in scope or delivery.
  9. Documentation Leadership and Standards Oversight
  10. Own and standardise all critical project documentation, including the project charter, plans, registers, and risk documents. Establish and enforce best practices across the team to maintain compliance and accuracy in all documentation.
  11. Ensure Project Quality Assurance and Compliance
  12. Drive quality assurance across all stages of project workflow, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards, industry regulations, and governance protocols. Implement continuous improvement practices to elevate project outcomes.
  13. Senior-Level Financial Oversight
  14. Take responsibility for project financial health, forecasting resource requirements, and tracking project budgets. Provide regular financial reports to executive teams and ensure alignment with overall project goals.
  15. Oversee Account and Project Governance with Strategic Focus
  16. Lead governance processes during project onboarding and off-boarding phases, ensuring smooth transitions and transparency. Foster knowledge transfer and alignment across all teams, prioritising strategic consistency.
  17. Elevate Communication and Stakeholder Engagement
  18. Establish and optimise communication frameworks, ensuring seamless collaboration across stakeholders. Act as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders, managing relationships to foster trust and effective teamwork.

Candidate Profile

  • with 6+ years in project management, particularly in digital transformation and high-stakes project delivery.
  • Experience in the life sciences sector with a strong background in Commercialisation and product lifecycle management.
  • An analytical and entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of leadership and strategic thinking.
  • Proven capability to uphold and drive professional standards independently while mentoring junior project team members.
  • A strong problem-solver with high emotional intelligence, skilled in navigating complex organisational landscapes.
  • Interest in joining a scale-up environment, with a commitment to sustainable impact and transformation.
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Miro, or Jira.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAFe, Prince2 and Agile with hands-on experience implementing them.
